Model United Nations (MUN) at NIT-Jalandhar

"Be the character, Hold the situation, Find a solution".

Model United Nations, as an initiative to improve diplomacy, negotiation, critical thinking, compromise, reaction time, public speaking, writing, and research among students, proved to be highly beneficial.  There were two rounds, first being the group discussion in which 20 students were shortlisted and divided into 10 countries.  The second and the final round which was the main conference itself had the following agenda,"Terrorism and its facets".  It was a transformative experience in which all the participants engaged in serious, intense, and inspiring debate.  After 3 hours of diplomacy, the delegates who emerged as winners were Dhruv Miglani, Akshay Sethi.  With
Utsav Jain, Bhanu Pratap coming in as runners-up.  We congratulate Dhruv and Akshay on their win and hope this can further inspire more students to participate in this exciting event.
