Farewell at NIT-Jalandhar

#Farewell'18 These are to be the last few days of college for our seniors.  These last few days are bound to be extremely emotional, thrilling, and moving for our seniors, and we hope they can leave college, and start a brave new journey into the real world, with a bang.  The official schedule for the farewell parties are out, and everyone is looking forward to them.  The official notice can be seen below:

Alumni Interaction Program – ReUnite’18

The alumni interaction program was a post-lunch session organized as a part of ReUnite’18. Keeping in line with the tradition of past meets the session saw various alumni get together for an informal meet with students representing the various clubs and societies operating within the institute. This was followed by a faculty-alumni meet mainly to commemorate the achievements of the 1989-93 batch. The highlight of the alumni meet was the silver jubilee of 89-93 batch, which incidentally was the first batch of engineers produced by this august institute. The meet witnessed maximum participation from the alumni of this batch who came in huge numbers to attend the event. The student interaction began with a presentation by Prayaas society, who highlighted the efforts taken by the students and faculty to provide a decent education to the underprivileged students of the area. AIR-1: A Proud day for NITJ!

"Develop a passion for learning, if you do, you will never cease to grow" The best example of this would be the story of Naman Jaswani -GATE AIR-1. When he was in his second year, he started to think about his future choices regarding his career. It was a tough call for him either to go for campus placements or to choose a competitive exam like CAT,GATE or GRE. But slowly and steadily he realised that GATE was his thing. It really inspired him that we had many previous year GATE  toppers from our own college. He joined coaching classes in his 6th sem but he started studying effectively for GATE in the month of August 2017, that is 6 months prior to GATE exam. He devoted as many hours as he could for GATE preparation because it was tough to manage both college academics and GATE . He never wasted his time in useless stuff and from November onwards when winter vacation started,he used to give pretty much 12 to 13 hours a day. For now his choice is Public Sector Undertaking(P...
